Praying is an important part of our school life and allows us all to have a personal relationship with God.

In prayer, children become aware of the presence of God around them and in them. Praying invites them to recognise God's presence in every moment.

At St Margaret Clitherow School we pray in a variety of ways, through saying the formal prayers of the church, composing and reading our own prayers, through reflective moments of prayer and through singing.

Our school prayers are prayed in class and through collective worship and liturgy.

In class, we pray together at the start of each school day, before our lunchtime meal, and to thank God at the end of our school day.
